I N T R O
I would like to introduce my favorite, now well upgraded favourite EDC flashlight - Nitecore P20iX that dethronized my older P20i.

It has unique pros, that I really like and I list them below from the most important to the least:

1. dual tailswitch - UI provides instant access to momentary strobe, momentary on and constant on - perfect for both self defense and daily use
2. 4000lm wide beam produced by 4-leds - it has abillity to illuminate big area, plain light profile, better blinding angle, which is easier to aim to target/assaulter
3. possibility to add many accessories - it makes this flashlight very useful in different purposes: edc/daily, tactical, gunlight, hiking, self-defense
4. steel bezel with toughened ceramic anchors - good to have just in case of emergency to break a windshield or window
5. USB-C charging port - just comfortable and common system

It's well upgraded P20i model that I've dreamed of, but for the perfection there are just 2 cons:

1. no instant moonlight mode
2. proprietary battery
3. 3 mode pedal click strobe - now you can't fast switch modes without accidentaly entering in strobe mode.

For beamshots, carry and accessories - see my other post!

Many set-ups of my Nitecore P20iX!

This possibility to attach a numerous of accessories is the thing that made me to consider this flashlight as one of my favourites. It's because of the addons I can comfortably carry it as EDC by my way.

You can attach:

- pocket clip
- tactical ring (NTR10)
- tailswitch with aux signal leds (TSL10i)
- gun mount (GM02MH)
- tactical gel switch (RSW2i)

At the end of the post there is a comparison between 1800lm P20i and 4000lm P20iX with POV and drone perspective!

Nitecore GM02MH mounted on Saiga barrel by really strong magnets, covered with rubber sleeves to avoid direct hits and scratches.

Inside the "chamber" there is also rubber finish on the top side and foam stripe on the bottom - to protect flashlight from vibrations and abrasions. All that with flashlight inside is tightening with a screw, that can be screwed easily with fingers.
I've been testing Nitecore P20iX with that accessory, because of it's bright and floody beam - perfect for operating in close quarters. Also there was RSW2i remote switch mounted on the flashlight.

During my test I shot 28 shells from Saiga shotgun and GM02MH mount had been on the place all the time. I'm surprised that It can handle series of fast shotgun shots 👍 Also the flashlight sit tight and handled shooting well, as it should!
Nitecore RSW2i is suitable for Nitecore P20i series and gives possibility to operate this flashlight during it's mounted on a firearm, without touching it directly.

It's a tailcap with single switch that only can turn flashlight on/off or momentary on.
In the place of mode pedal there is rubber covering USB-C port that can charge the flashlight or to be connected with wired gel-switch, which could be mounted on a firearm rail/handle and to be easily operated during shooting.

It has 4 switches - the biggest one is for turning flashlight on/of or strobe (if you press longer), the others are for momentary on or changing modes.
How do I carry my Nitecore P20iX?

Some say it's way to big 21700 flashlight for EDC, especially in summer, when you wear shorts and t-shirt. It's a big thing in a pocket ofc!
But I do not carry any flashlight in a pocket (instead of keychain light Nitecore TIP SE 🔑). I carry concealed, behind the belt - between the pants and my body.

All that is set up with "pocket clip". In addition I use NTR10 tactical ring to draw it even faster and to have better, more reliable grip.
I can carry it even with light polyester shorts without any belt. It's even invincible under the t-shirt that isn't extremely slim fit.

It provides a possibility to draw it fast in case of self defense situation, just like appendix carry handgun

It's placed in a perfect place on the body, a little bit at an angle that is on a flexion of the leg and belly/abs 🪨 It's possible to walk, sit, run and squat - you can move seamlessly. Car seatbelt isn't an issue at all too. After several hours of carry I don't have any marks or wounds on the body and I don't feel any discomfort. It's size it's enough for this (but with smaller 18650 #flashlights it's of course more comfortable.
My old Nitecore P20i (left) with P20iX (right) side-by-side comparison:

led set-up - blinding light angles (for self defense) - size comparison

As you can see P20iX is blinding faster due to it's wide beam angle. It's easier to aim at the opponent or to blind several opponent's at once. It is harder with P20i and P20iX has stronger illumination - 4000lm vs 1800lm. It's more than 2 times more!
P20iX has better battery included - more capacity and discharge rate.
